The students of this college organized an IT competition called Spardha in year November 2014. Spardha had competitions such as technical Jam, technical poster, hardware assembly, debugging and website creation. The aim of conducting competition is to encourage students in acquiring technical skills.
The students of the college organise an IT,Art and Cultural Meet entitled ‘Abhinayam’ every year inviting participation and delegations from different colleges. It has various competitive events like programming contest, IT Quiz,Debugging, Elecution, written test, PPT presentation, puzzle, rangoli, dance and traditional walk.
The whole formal events focused on the General IT awareness, aptitude, reasoning, communication skills, H/W knowledge and the programming skills.
It is important for students of technical education to keep themselves abreast of changes taking place in the industry. Towards this end, the college regularly organizes industrial tours. In the year 2013 MCA students had a visit to CMC a TATA enterprise.
The goal of the mini projects is to get the student to explore research and development initiatives in a specific area. The mini projects commence in summer. The projects are undertaken in an industry or research lab or other academic institutions, as decided by the project advisor. It may, in some cases, result in a student continuing the work for the final project also, with the concurrence of the department.
